CloudDock club sponsorship
Club-owned seats · transparent queue · predictable hours.

What this sponsorship is

  • Seats belong to the club (not individuals). Officers assign them to project members monthly.
  • Weekly auto top-up per assigned username (Mon 00:00 LA).
  • Any GPU tier may be used. Reference pricing: 3060 $0.15/h · 3090 $0.35/h · A100 $1.50/h — higher tiers simply consume credits faster.
  • Fairness: same queue & rules as paying users; no reserved capacity.
  • Demo account included for workshops/showcases (not for daily training).

Why CloudDock (vs typical notebook services)

  • Predictable runs: pick 2–4h blocks; exact end time is shown; no surprise cut-offs.
  • Full GUI desktop + one-click Jupyter: great for demos, grading, data wrangling.
  • Transparent queue: position, ETA, and end time are visible before launch.
  • Stable environment: curated ML image; just pip install extras.

FAQ

Is this a personal perk?

No. Seats are club assets. Officers assign them monthly; we top up the assigned usernames weekly.

Why not reserve machines for the club?

To keep it fair, everyone shares the same transparent queue. Sponsorship is weekly credits; higher tiers just consume credits faster.
